Nature of Massage Therapists

Therapists at Nature of Massage are professionally trained and experienced bodyworkers, licensed by the State of Connecticut and certified by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.

Nature of Massage is fortunate to have many talented therapists from whom you can choose. Together, they represent a wide range of training, experience, and interests. They are all excellent therapists who believe in massage as a powerful tool for healing.

If you have questions about which therapist to select, please don’t hesitate to call us. We will be happy to schedule a consultation for you at no charge where you can meet with a therapist to discuss your specific situation and goals.

Only you can decide which therapist is the best match for you. We encourage you to sample the massage of all of our therapists to find the one or more whose style feels best to you.

Each therapist has their own unique style and approach to massage techniques. This happens naturally as we become influenced by different teachers and experiences. Your massage from each of our therapists will be uniquely theirs.

Each therapist customizes their massage session to reflect your preferences. We listen to what you tell us: how you’re feeling, what you’re hoping for from today’s session, any special requests that you have for today’s session.

Each therapist adapts their techniques to be safe and appropriate for you. We always adjust pressure and positioning in consideration of your physical condition. Your massage will always be a massage that is safe for you to receive.

It’s okay to change therapists. Some of our clients prefer to see the same therapist on each visit; some clients rotate appointments among two or three or more therapists. Whatever is comfortable for you is comfortable for us.

Cindy (Custom Combination, Maternity, BabyBodywork, Reiki, Myofascial Release)
Cindy graduated from the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in April of 1997. She has received specialized training in pregnancy, postpartum, infant massage, and myofascial release. She is also certified in Reiki energy healing Level I and II, and is an ongoing student of meditation. Cindy has been with Nature of Massage since 2001 and is available for massage appointments on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Dawn (Foot Reflexology)
Dawn completed her training in reflexology at the Connecticut Center for Universal Reflexology in April 2005 and joined Nature of Massage in 2007. She is available for appointments weekdays, some evenings, and on weekends upon request. Dawn is also certified in Reiki energy healing Level I and II.

Elizabeth (Custom Combination, Deep Tissue, Maternity)
Elizabeth received her massage training at the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy. She graduated in August 2005 and joined Nature of Massage upon graduation. Her post-graduate studies have included Ayurvedic medicine, pre-natal Thai massage, and healing stone therapy.

Jennifer (Custom Combination)
Jennifer received her massage training at the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy, where she graduated in August 2002. She joined Nature of Massage in 2003 and is available for appointments on weekends and weekdays except Mondays. Since 2006, Jennifer also has been studying and practicing equine massage.

Karen (Custom Combination, Deep Tissue, Reiki)
Karen is a graduate of the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy (2008). She has received Level I & II certification in Reiki Energy Healing and studies Tai Chi. Karen has been at Nature of Massage since 2008 and is available for appointments Monday through Friday, including Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.

Kelley (Custom Combination, Ashiatsu, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Sports,Thai)
Kelley is a graduate of the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy (2006) and joined Nature of Massage in 2011. Her post-graduate studies have focused on Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy and Thai Massage. She is available for appointments on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Patricia (Custom Combination, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Reiki)
Patricia received her training at the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy. She graduated in August 2005, and is certified in Reiki energy healing Level I and II. Patricia joined Nature of Massage in 2005 and is available for appointments on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday.
